NEVER ENDING COLOURING BOOK
ORIGINAL GAME:-TONESOFT
PROGRAMMED BY DEANO
This program is just simple little thing to keep the kids amused for a few
hours. You can step through the various un-coloured pics by clicking on the
up and down arrow keys. You can add your own pictures but more on that
later. The LOOK picture icon shows you the full screen picture you are
working on. The printer icon will allow you to print your picture to the
printer. If you make a mistake whilst colouring your picture you can click
on Start Again and you can recolour it. Save picture will allow you to save
your picture as an IFF file. Clicking on a colour box will allow you to
select a colour to use on the picture.
Finally the paint option will allow you to paint your picture. After
selecting the icon simply position the mouse pointer over the area of the
picture you wish to colour and press the left mouse button. Whilst in paint
mode, clicking on the right mouse key will bring you back to the main menu.
You can add your own pictures to the program...in fact as many as you like.
This is why its called the never ending colouring book. Theres no limit to
how many pictures you can have except for disk space. To add or replace a
picture simply load an IFF picture into the Piccy squash program on this
disk. This will convert your picture to a form the game can understand. Then
just save it inside the COLBOOK drawer under the name COLOUR(no).ABK where
no is the picture number. For example, to add an extra picture to the game
just save it as COLOUR11.ABK inside the COLBOOK drawer. The game checks how
many picture files are available when it runs. Obviously your picture will
need to be compatible with the program so.....save a picture from the game
to get the palette, and set your art package to 320x200 with 16 colours.
Also, importantly draw your picture using colour 0. This colour box is
ignored in the game meaning your children can't colour in part of the
drawing which use this colour. Try clicking on a dogs nose which is coloured
black as part of the drawing and the game will ignore it.
This game can be stored on an hard drive. Simply copy the main file and the
COLBOOK drawer to your partion. It can go in another drawer if you wish.
Next copy the file amos.library to the libs folder of your workbench
partion.
